Imperial BE: Black Founder Challenger Programme

Join a three-day entrepreneurship programme hosted by Angel Investor Andy Davis.

Are you a postgrad, postdoc student or a Imperial Alumni of black heritage and studying in the UK? Want to create your own startup or develop your own entrepreneurial idea? Apply today for this unique 3-day programme developed specifically for aspiring entrepreneurs just like you!

Forge connections by forming a startup team with like-minded, motivated students from across London and the UK. Led by venture capitalist Andy Davis and his network of black founders, operators, and investors, you’ll spend three days ideating, building, and testing real products in teams of commercial and technical talent.

Open to the following individuals

  • 25 Imperial postgrads/postdocs/Alumni
  • 25 postgrads and postdocs from external universities

What to expect on the programme:

  • Decide on a startup idea from a list of real-world market-demand-led opportunities
  • Take the key steps to launch your startup together, building the foundation for ongoing development
  • Work with leading investors and experts from across the startup community
  • Opportunity for ongoing mentorship to develop your startup further

  • Our mixer, social and quiz event launches the programme on 11 April, 6:30 – 9:30pm
  • Challenge Days will be carried out over the Saturdays of 13, 20, and 27 April, 10am – 6pm at Imperial (South Kensington Campus)
