Imperial Business Pitch Competition

(IB Pitch)

The Imperial Business Pitch (IB Pitch as it’s become well-known) is a bespoke competition for Imperial College Business School students to power-up their early stage business ideas.

IB Pitch will return in 2020.

Refund Giant win IB Pitch 2019!

Led by Alex Zhou, Shawn Du & Jil Schwarz (MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management), Refund Giant is an app that syncs with your credit card to automatically issue fast, hands-free VAT refunds for overseas travellers by detecting purchases abroad.

The IB Pitch Final was the culmination of a summer long programme during which Business School teams undertook customer research to develop their early stage business ideas. This was achieved through a customer research masterclass, tailored individual and group coaching sessions, pitch training and a small grant.

In front of a sold out audience, each team pitched their idea to an expert panel judges, who chose to award the £5,000 winners prize to Refund Giant.
