About this Event
Introducing “Virtual Pitch ‘n’ Mix”. The same deal as real life Pitch ‘n’ Mix – i.e. our monthly event that brings together like minded students and postdocs to hang out, get feedback and meet new people.Introducing) – just online and live in front of a studio audience courtesy of E-Lab TV, AKA Zoom.
💡 Got an idea and need a friendly crowd to present it to?
👀 Looking for a team where you can showcase your amazing skills and make a difference?
🤝 Want to hang out in a new crowd and get some feedback on your ideas?
If you answered yes to just one of these questions, then Pitch ‘n’ Mix is perfect for you. We only have 15 pitching slots per event so if you’re interested in taking to the stage make sure you sign-up in advance! We also have a few wildcard slots on the night so even if you get an audience ‘seat’ you can still ask to pitch on the night. In fact, the audience is a crucial part, so if you’re not ready to pitch, do register so you can watch, get inspired and support the brilliant people behind the ideas.
We only have one rule for pitchers: Don’t go over your time or you might incur the wrath of Judge Ferd!
This is your time to shine! Get in front of a friendly audience and test out your 60-second pitch in our Quick-Fire Round. Whether you’re pitching your business, your skills, or practising your public speaking, Virtual Pitch ‘n’ Mix is the place to get guaranteed applause on your best bits and some and constructive feedback on your not-so-best bits.
We’re online, so why not use this as an opportunity to design your own virtual backgrounds that you can show off while you pitch? Diagrams and prototypes are also handy when it comes to explaining your idea – whatever helps you get maximum impact when you present your invention or idea.
Log on, Zoom in, join in and be part of something awesome. There’s also £50 in Amazon vouchers up for grabs for the best pitch of the evening and the best virtual background!
