About this Event
Do you want to develop a business idea but find obstacles are in your way? Have you started but you’re not sure how to get past problems that keep occurring? Join us as photographer Giles Duley draws on his own experiences to show how being resilient and learning to adapt can turn negatives into positives.
After a decade photographing superstars as an editorial photographer in fashion and music, Giles Duley turned his back on glamour to concentrate on helping people.
Documenting the work and lives of charities and those they help around the world, Giles travelled to Afghanistan at the height of the conflict. Whilst on patrol with
US Army’s 75th Cavalry Regiment, he stepped on an IED. He was severely injured, losing both legs and his left arm, spending two months in intensive care.
As well as returning to Afghanistan to complete his assignment, Giles has documented moving, inspiring human stories in Lebanon, Iraq, Cambodia, Laos, Colombia, Uganda, South Sudan, Angola and Jordan.
It will be held virtually on Zoom. Meeting details will be sent nearer to the date of talk.
All of the above activities will support your progress towards the Imperial Award.
