About this event

Join us for a 45-minute Stress Management seminar incorporating theory and practice. In it we will guide you through various techniques which evoke the relaxation response, calming the mind and dissolving patterns of habitual tension in the body. These include mindfulness meditation, breath focus, body scan, restorative postures, and self-massage techniques (acupressure and Myofascial Release). No props are necessary, although we do recommend having a notebook and pen handy for taking notes. Some of our postures will be reclined, so you may also wish to bring along a blanket or towel if on hard floor and a cushion for comfort.

Here are a few tips to ensure the best experience:

  • Prior to joining, we ask that you please read and acknowledge our disclaimer.
  • Ensure you have a comfortable place to sit and lie down, where you are unlikely to be disturbed.
  • Wear loose, unrestrictive clothing that allows for easy movement.

About the Teacher:

Anouska Shenn was first introduced to yoga at a young age by her mother and has kept a consistent practice for over 18 years.

Before founding The Office Yoga Company in 2017, Anouska studied economics and was a self-taught graphic designer for six years. She worked at various companies across London from fashion houses to international banks, and was involved in a number of design projects in the Far East. She also authored a book on graphic design.

In the years since, she has worked with thousands of office workers around the world, and her start-up has grown from a solo operation to a team of eight experienced instructors.
