Innovation Pitch

Innovation Pitch is a series of events through the year providing a forum for students, and alumni, to pitch their innovations to an audience of potential investors and peers.

From E-Lab to V-Lab

Due to the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19 and Imperial’s move to remote working and study, the Enterprise Lab co-working space will be closed until further notice and upcoming events have been postponed or moved online.

The good news is we’ve gone virtual! We’ve moved all of our Idea Surgeries, Business Coaching and Expert-in-Residence support online and are supporting MBA Connect in creating the COVID-19 Task Force. You can find out how they can support you and you venture here. and are working hard to ensure that our awesome community is still coming together, sharing ideas and supporting each other, albeit virtually.

Our community of Imperial’s innovators and entrepreneurs are still sharing great ideas, asking important questions and working out how to ‘get out of the building’ to speak to customers when you’re literally stuck IN the building. The Enterprise Lab will also be sharing our latest updates and some new virtual content on Slack and our social channels, so stay tuned!

In more detail

Innovation Pitch at the Dyson Library offers a ‘low stakes’ opportunity for students to pitch their ideas, gain feedback and network with peers and potential investors. Innovation Pitch has been running for 3 years and is regarded as a great first chance for students to both network and present their emergent enterprise.

The audience includes VC and hedge fund managers as well as angel investors, alongside student peers and alumni.

The format for the pitches is a 6 minute presentation with slides, followed by a 4 minute Q&A with the audience.

Pitches are followed by drinks and nibbles which are the ideal opportunity for attendees to network. The event starts at 6pm and ends at 8pm.

How to get involved

Student and alumni teams wishing to pitch need to contact directly to submit their idea. Please supply the name of your idea, the names and contact information for any co-pitchers, and a brief 50-100 word description of the idea for circulation. We will provide some guidance with regards to the pitch prior to the public event. Students will be briefed on the IP protocols of Imperial College.

Individuals wishing to attend should register for a ticket on Eventbrite, linked via the button below.

We look forward to welcoming you at the next event!
