Congratulations to Harry Grocott, co-founder and CEO of Treeconomy for joining the Founders of the Future Fellowship N20 Cohort!
The Founders of Future Fellowship is an invite-only community that recognises exceptional entrepreneurial talents under the age of 30 who help to overcome the world’s sustainability challenge with their startups.
Treeconomy, started by Harry and his partner Robert Godfrey, aims to provide a one-stop solution for landowners to earn money by planting trees and combatting climate change. They use remote sensing technology, mainly aerial drones with LiDAR to accurately calculate carbon offset volume by reforestation, which helps to incentivise and empower companies to finance free planting with the aim to achieve zero net carbon emission.
Treeconomy team was also the Venture Catalyst Challenge 2020 finalist and they were selected for the People’s Choice Award.
The Venture Catalyst Challenge is a 7-week programme of evening masterclasses with 1-to-1 coaching that helps students and alumni to bring their innovative commercial ideas into reality. The VCC 2021 is open for application from 1 Dec 2020. Find out more about the Venture Catalyst Challenge.
