I never thought I could be an entrepreneur until I met my advisor in the WE Innovate Programme. I was not a programme finalist but my advisor carried on supporting me and encouraged me to start my own company. She hand-held me through the first couple of steps and introduced me to the startup dynamic in the UK. This changed my thinking and gave me a solid base on which to build my company.

The last few years have been rich in experiences and I have had the honour of being nominated for a number of awards. I won the Innovate UK Women in Innovation award in 2016, as well as their Design in Innovation award in 2017.

In 2018 I was named one of Forbes 30 under 30 Europe on the industry list, received a £300,000 InnovateUK grant and won the LIFE fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering.
