The problem
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reporting is growing in importance but many companies are failing to manage their ESG requirements because of poor data management – which leads to potential regulatory non-compliance and significant cost. The teams/individuals that are responsible have limited knowledge of how to choose and implement a framework that’s suitable for their organisation and will allow them to monitor and report on their ESG activity. This can lead to significant cost and operational inefficiencies. What’s more, with the growing focus on environmental and social responsibility there’s more pressure from stakeholders to deliver transparent insight on the organisation’s ESG performance. A failure to do so could expose an organisation to inaccurate/inconsistent communications, as well as potential non-compliance with regulations.
The solution
GreenAlytics is a comprehensive software package that any organisation can use to manage its ESG data and reporting. From peer-group and industry benchmarking to generating accurate and useful insights – it provides an easy way for companies to understand their environmental and social impact. GreenAlytics will also help generate automated and customised reports to meet reporting requirements of multiple stakeholders.
Why did you apply to the Summer Accelerator Programme?
This is the first entrepreneurial venture for everyone on the GreenAlytics team and we know we’ll benefit significantly from mentoring and guidance from the Enterprise Lab, including from the experts-in-residence. We’ll also get a chance to network with, support and learn from the diverse cohort teams and their experiences. The help we get with developing our pitch deck will also be crucial as we look to scale up in the next few months. Not forgetting the opportunity to earn grants and prize money, which will help us with the initial funding we’ll need to develop our MVP.
What are you looking to achieve through the Summer Accelerator?
We’d like to develop our MVP and plan to reach out to more companies. We also want to validate our value proposition with a few companies by partnering with them and with the help of the mentors, we want to finalise a go-to-market strategy.
