The problem
For centuries classroom teaching has followed the same ‘one-size-fits-all’ formula. Large rooms and a linear curriculum that’s taught at one pace – regardless of how quickly individual pupils learn.
The solution
Edicat Learning is an AI-driven platform that personalises learning to each student based on their individual needs. It works by first identifying individual knowledge gaps with an adaptive assessment. Pupils’ teachers (and other stakeholders) are provided with performance reports that identify knowledge gaps and provides a personalised curriculum that will help accelerate a pupil’s rate of learning. By saving teachers time and empowering them with data-driven tools, we can better equip them to identify students that are struggling and are at risk of falling behind. By helping them assess students more quickly we can also ensure they have more time to do what they do best — teach.
Why did you apply to the Summer Accelerator Programme?
We applied to Summer Accelerator because we had tested our proof-of-concept and had demonstrated demand for our product. Our next step was to develop a robust go-to-market strategy and felt that the expertise that the Enterprise Lab could provide would be immensely helpful for this. We’re strong believers in the power of community and have benefitted greatly from exchanging ideas with other cohort teams and supporting one another on our entrepreneurial journeys.
What are you looking to achieve through the Summer Accelerator?
We have 3 key goals
- To launch our product to 150 early adopters and measure key KPIs such as grade improvement, hours of usage and student satisfaction.
- To identify the underlying demographic and psychographic features of our early adopters that have the greatest need for our product and;
- To develop a detailed go-to-market strategy with campaigns that will attract our target segments.
